I've been to Coyo Tacos in Brickell and Wynwood. I have now been to the one on the Island. It was pretty quiet customer-wise when we went on a recent Sunday afternoon, but the tacos were solid. My fiance ordered a taco salad while I went for some duck confit tacos and guac and chips, which were very good and hit the spot nicely. Additionally, I applaud their churros that were solid as well. Being that it's a shorter drive to this one than to the ones in Miami -- if I have a craving for Coyo, then I know where to go.

Revisited for lunch on a Saturday! This trip the restaurant had a few more people compared to our first visit back in March. There are plenty of tables outside with shade and there are a few tables in side too. The amount of filling in the taco is a filling amount and you get two tacos per taco order. I got the al pastor tacos and a prickly pear margarita. My dining partner got the grouper frito and carne asada tacos and re fried beans. The cashier taking our order was not very clear on the menu options which we kept having to restate what we wanted. When our food was delivered to our table they only had one taco and the re fried beans correct. They did give us a free guacamole for the mix up and brought out the food as it was ready. Aside from the food mix up it was a satisfying and filling lunch, will definitely be back!

I wasn't sure what to expect coming here but I was honestly 100% impressed. It's Florida and there's a taco spot on every corner. Let me tell you why this one is the one to visit. In one word: flavor! The thing that it's missing from most Mexican-inspired places down here is flavor. You get all of flavor at this spot. The guacamole was fresh & handmade, and the chips were crispy and well salted. We tried the shrimp tacos and my husband enjoyed them. We also had the quesadilla and no lie my husband said it was the best he's had this side of Cali. I was in the mood for a salad but wasn't sure if I wanted a salad from a taco spot. I went for it and I'm glad I did. Again, flavor! I had the chicken salad. It wasn't an ordinary chicken salad either. It had nuts, guac, seasoned chicken, pico and a vinaigrette dressing, among other things. It was really tasty. I highly recommend this place when you're in Palm Beach.

First time coming here for a to go order and enjoyed the food! Now, the drive home took 30 minutes so by the time I got home the shrimp tacos were a bit soggy, but that is my fault haha Started off with the guacamole and chips! They were good! The chicken quesadillas were yummy! The shrimp tacos were spicy for me! I'm not good with spicy.. I'm super sensitive to spicy so I could be over exaggerating, because my mom and sister said it was not spicy sooo 0.0 I'm just sensitive! Side of beans and rice was my favorite part! The flavor reminded me of this childhood spot I would go to but can't remember where.... my mom, sister, and I really had a blast to the past with the beans and rice! The churros were good but I wish there was more sugar on them! Altogether really enjoyed the food! Also the atmosphere is super cute in the back and the front is very bright ! Wish I lived closer or bring one to Boca!

I was in Royal Poinciana Plaza around dinner time when I spotted this Coyo Taco. I have always meant to get to the one in Wynwood but there is so much to eat around there that I never got around to it. This is probably the most economical place to eat at in this plaza. Sven Vogtland and Alan Drummond, co-founded Coyo Taco in the Wynwood section of Miami in 2014. Wynwood has launched a lot of businesses like Zak the baker and Panther Coffee. Vogtland, Drummond along Gabriela Chriboga also opened Miami's first food hall, 1-800-Lucky, in Wynwood in November of 2018. The Wynwood Coyo location is so popular that even Barack Obama stopped by when he was in town. They have plans to open 150 locations all over the country and internationally. This Palm Beach location of Coyo opened in March of 2018. It couldn't be more different from Wynwood. Where Wynwood is gritty and artsy, Royal Poinciana Plaza is Palm Beach refined. What they have in common is everyone loves tacos. Coyo is a Mexican street food fast-casual restaurant serving tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas., and churros. For my meal I ordered the Al Pastor ($8.50) 2 tacos filled with marinated pork, roasted pineapple, onion, cotija y cilantro. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla ($13) chicken, a Mexican cheese blend, and pico de gallo with sour cream and salsa on the side. I finished my meal off with a Jarritos Pineapple soda. The food was tasty but not inexpensive. My meal with tip rang in at $30. Still for this area that has shops like Hermès and Jimmy Choo, that is probably cheap. I am glad I got to finally try Coyo but I feel like I still need to head to Wynwood for the authentic experience.
